(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - Hundreds of Turkish citizens on Wednesday evening flocked into the open square opposite the Sultan Mohamed Al-Fateh Mosque in Istanbul city to protest Israel's military aggression against the besieged Gaza Strip.
The protestors chanted slogans condemning Israel and describing it as a terrorist state.
In a speech before the crowds, head of the Turkish relief foundation IHH Bulent Yildirim said that the Islamic world is in extreme anger over the Israeli attack on Gaza.
He hailed Egypt for withdrawing its ambassador to Israel and called on the Turkish government to follow suit and close the Israeli embassy in Ankara.
In Cairo, director of the foreign relations committee of the Arab physicians union and secretary-general of the Egyptian physicians union Jamal Abdul Salam said a march would take place on Thursday afternoon to denounce the Israeli massacres in Gaza.
Abdul Salam added that the march would start from Omar Makram Mosque in Tahrir square before heading to the Arab League headquarters and later to Abdeen Palace to demand officials to act for Gaza.
For its part, the Palestinian forum in Britain strongly denounced in a press release the Israeli military crimes in Gaza and emphasized that Israel blatantly insists on violating the international law.
The form stressed the need to curb Israel which proves every day that it poses a threat to the middle east and the world peace.
It invited all pro-Palestinian groups and organizations as well as the Arab and Muslim communities in Britain to participate in the rally to be held on Thursday at 05:30 pm outside the Israeli embassy in London.
